This was our attempt at seeing the changing of the guards. We didn't have a very good spot to watch it- lots of people to compete with!
This is Royal Alberts Memorial. Queen Victoria loved her husband. She wore black every day after he died for the rest of her life. Had his close laid out in the morning and hot water pored for him.
I run by this often while running in Hyde Park.
This is Hyde Park... they have beautiful lawns. Some of it is wild, or at least un-mowed. I love it! Glad we live so close.
Karen and Hillary- my buds for Saturday crazyness.
The last three are St. Pauls. We stopped here after we went to a ceramic fair because there was a design festival installation in one of the stair cases that we wanted to see. When we were done with that it was about time for evensong so we stayed. It was so beautiful inside the cathedral, and the music was so wonderful. I want to go back! When they came out and sang, the first song was in the main part of the cathedral and I just felt shivers up my spine- the acoustics were amazing. And those young boys voices are so pure and soaring. I loved it so much. It was defiantly the best part of the day. Eating at an Italian place after was great too :)
