This was my first stop in Paris. These first moments I though, hummm, the smell of Paris is pee and cigarettes...
I guess that is what happens when you have to pay to use the restrooms.
This is a Catholic Cathedral but very different than any I have been too so far. It looks more like a mosque. They were having mass when we were in there and we got to hear the nuns sing. That was interesting. I kind of got freaked out when I realized that it wasn't that I wasn't listening to what the preacher was saying, I just couldn't understand it- because I don't speak French :)
This was on our walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. One thing about Notre Dame that I didn't know was that they were going to tear it down and then Hunch Back of Notre Dame came out and the book was popular so they kept the Cathedral. This is Laura- the girl I dressed up as for Halloween.
This had the most beautiful stained glass that I had seen so far, (Sainte-Chapelle is more impressive, but I hadn't seen that yet)
This bridge had lovers locks all along it. A few bridges down we decided to get ice cream and eat it on the bridge as we listened to a man playing the accordion. That was a pretty magical Paris moment :)
This is the Bastille. It was our land mark to get to our hotel. There was also the best crepe stop right by here.
